AU Name: Percival "Percy" de Rolo
AU Age: Turned at 24, now 29
Physical Differences: Percy's human form is the same as his OU form save that, since becoming a student, he has pierced his ears. They did not heal over because he was wearing earrings when he was turned.
AU History: Percy was the son and potential heir to a noble family, the De Rolos, until they were all but wiped out after denying too long a vampire line's desires. They lived on the border between Gold and Red lands, and their castle remains. Percy escaped, and found solace with a friend of the family, an alchemist, his hair whitened by the experience. He studied for years believing himself to be the lone survivor. Unfortunately, the vampires who killed his family were unwilling to let him live quietly.

They came, of course, in the night, and took him away to be a thrall, but over the year he was forced to serve, his strength of will impressed and frustrated him enough that they went a step further - they sponsored his entry into the school.

The only thing that kept Percy going was a potent blend of defiance and willpower - the will to live despite all that was thrown against him. His gold and red sponsors were dismayed to see him choose Silver, but he had formed a real bond with a certain member of faculty, and actually trusted him more deeply than any other he'd met in a long time...

Now, 5 years later, and 7 years since his disappearance that fateful night, he teaches alchemy, craftsmanship, and history to would-be vampires.
AU Personality: The big difference is that Percy is not and never has been influenced by a demon in this AU! His parents are out of his reach (due to being dead), he's been tormented to instability, and his personality is not that different otherwise, he's just a bit less traumatized by personal actions. He was an alchemist's apprentice, not a warrior, and has had to compartmentalize his trauma due to personal inability to get revenge. He is still deeply scarred, especially by his time as a thrall, though he tries to hide it, but he's less... aggressive.

This doesn't mean he's not able to be content. He's got friends and loved ones at the school, a foster father in Halsin, and work to throw himself into. He's a hard worker, a good friend, and usually pretty even-keeled! Unless you throw him off his game, anyway, like by putting someone he loves in danger.

The loss of his parents, especially, made him value his friends and loved ones more. He never dreamed anyone else escaped, but, once he was able to express himself again post-trauma, he became very attached to his mentor, his fellow thralls, and, later, Halsin. Anyone he found comfort in was an essential part of his life.

Court: Percy is in the Silver court. He was being groomed for another (probably Red) but ended up succeeding in Silver better due to his nature as an alchemist, personal nerdiness, and unwillingness to sign up for Red classes after what was done to him. He is actually a good fit for Silver, and is glad to have settled there.
